Oh my gosh, y’all! I am in love with these sweater pumpkins! If you remember a few weeks ago, we went on a thrift store shopping spree? Well, this is where I found a few sweaters that would be perfect for these pumpkins. They were only $3 a piece and I have a lot of leftover fabric for future Christmas decor items. Score!!
Here is the materials list: download here
After gathering all my materials, I decided on the size of pumpkin and then cut that portion of the sleeve.
Be sure to turn your piece inside out. I used a slip stitch all the way around the largest side of the opening.
After gathering up the slip stitch, sew the bottom up and then turn inside out. You can now stuff the pumpkin with the poly fill and use twine to tie up the top. I add a little extra wrapping of twine around the top to form the “stem.”
Use the same twine to make the tendrils. Wrap the twine around a pencil and use Mod Podge to set.
Because I love you and because I know you will want to take your pumpkins up a notch, download these super cute leaves to add to your pumpkins for free!
How cute are these?! I have included the link to my Facebook Live where I show in more detail how to create these chic sweater pumpkins!
Happy Crafting!
