When we were shopping around for Christmas decor this year, we saw so much mercury glass! It adds such a unique look to any scene, plus you can re purpose the items year round!
We decided to try our hand at DIYing these cute jars! You can either recycle an old glass jar or grab one from the Dollar Tree for $1, spray a few layers of some mercury glass spray paint, then use a spray bottle with white vinegar over top to add some texture. Finally I dabbed a paper towel over the glass while it was still wet with the mercury paint and vinegar to finish the texture.
After a few minutes, the jar was completely dry and ready for some extra touches! What do you think? Who’s excited to make their own? I have included a video demonstration at the end of this post.
These are the only things you will need: A glass jar, “Looking Glass” spray paint, distilled white vinegar in a spray bottle, and a paper towel.
This turned out so pretty! Guess I need to make a few more! LOL!
Check out the video where I demonstrate how I made this mercury glass candle.
Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!
