Hey guys!
What can I say about this burlap leaf pennant except that it was one of the easiest projects I have done! And, to top it all off, TJ (hubby) thought I purchased it from a store! Win! If you would like to make your own leaf pennant, stay tuned! Also, I have a very special freebie download just for you at the end of this post. It will make your pennant even easier!
Here is the list of materials that I used. You can download it here.
Here is a picture of the materials list. I purchased my burlap leaves from Dollar Tree. They came in a pack of 5 for $1 (you will need 2 packs.) I also purchased the glitter copper leaf there, too. They were 2 for $1!
Using a stiff bristle brush and my copper acrylic paint, I started off using my alphabet stencil letters to stencil each letter of “Give Thanks” onto it’s own leaf.
I measured out enough twine to spell out all the letters and to hang the pennant. It’s best to have too long of a piece to start. You can always trim it down to the size you need. I just placed all my leaves next to each other as they spelled “Give Thanks.” I used the glitter copper leaf as the word divider. Each one of the leaves had a wire stem. I folded the stem over the twine and then hot glued it in place. Continue that process for each leaf/letter until you are finished.
The only thing left to do is hang your pennant and sit back and admire how easy that was!

You will also want to check out my Facebook Live where I show you a live demo. Don’t forget about that freebie that I mentioned. Keep scrolling, you’re almost there!
At last! If you don’t have the stencils or paint available, or just want a quicker way to make this pennant, here are some high resolution letters already to go! Just print these out on printer paper, cut out, and glue/tape to your twine. Couldn’t be easier! Click this link to go to the pdf.
